On the occasion of the third Oman-Philippines Forum, Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, engaged in discussions with Philippine Foreign Secretary Maria Teresa Lázaro. Their meeting focused on broadening the scope of collaboration between Oman and the Philippines.
During the conference, the ministers assessed the current state of bilateral relations and deliberated on avenues to enhance partnerships across multiple sectors such as trade, investment, logistics, tourism, energy, and technology. The forum was recognized as a vital conduit for reinforcing cooperation among governmental bodies, businesses, and educational institutions from both nations.
Highlighting the flourishing partnership, both ministers applauded the contributions of the Filipino community in Oman, acknowledging their pivotal role in fortifying interpersonal connections between the two countries.
In addition to bilateral matters, the dialogue also covered regional and international issues of common interest. The ministers underscored the importance of sustained coordination to foster peace and security, as well as to ensure the smooth flow of maritime navigation and global supply chains.
