Additionally, they recognized the significance of fostering stronger people-to-people connections, particularly among the youth of both countries.
In discussions with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, the talks spanned regional and global issues, with a particular focus on the evolving situation in the Middle East. Both sides reiterated their commitment to upholding international law and ensuring freedom of navigation, reflecting shared values and priorities in the face of global challenges.
The visit also served as a platform to advance key joint ventures like the Johor Bahru–Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link and the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone. These projects are seen as pivotal in enhancing bilateral infrastructure and economic collaboration, offering significant benefits to both nations.
